Club Championship points for 2019 have now been uploaded
to the club championship results tab. Go in and see how you
fared this year !
Please remember that as per normal a driver
has to drop their lowest points scoring round, so if you
missed a round an x is shown against your name. A zero
will refer to the lowest points finish for the year of a particular
driver. This allows drivers to be away for one round each
year and still be in the hunt for the championship. Good luck
to all. A presentation event will be detailed in due course on
this web site.

Advertising Towers Update
Two major advertising towers will be constructed and placed
in two location within the GKC complex. These will be along
the main straight just after the control tower and right around
the back infield section in an area near the trees that will
work in with our new track extenstion area in due course.
These large neon advertising towers are a major investment
for Beckley Park and will be a great addition to our circuit and
and how it looks. The Towers have been delayed in red tape
for a while and we originally envisaged them being complete
by now , but it looks more like August at this time. There will
be minimal track disruption as power will be via underground
works.

see Yamaha's and a mixture of old and new including four
strokes blitzing around the GKC track. Well done Geelong for
once again leading from the front!

August club day will be on in a few weeks time and we would be grateful if

grid spices up the racing. Lets see.

Once again we will offer a random draw free set of tyres of the drivers class to
any karter that pre enters on CMS and races.
14/06/2018

Practise Fees Will Apply To Non Geelong Members Until Completion of Vic Open
As of 08/03/2018 until the completion of the Victorian Open on April 8th
Practise fees will apply to all non Geelong Members. There will be no
exceptions! The Fee will be $40 per driver . Families will pay
$50.00 regardless of how many children per day. The cost of cleaning up
rubbish , tyres and maintenace after big test days has cost the club thousands
of dollars and in the current climate cannot be continued without cost. Please
note GKC was the only club that did not charge practise fees in 2017 after
hosting a round of the national championships and this ended up costing us
several thousand dollars in clean up fees. There is of course a great cost
effective option of joining the club instead of paying practise fees.
Unfortunately the current climate in karting has given the club no choice but to
charge these fees prior to major events.
28/02/2018
The Val Findlay Memorial Race Meeting will be going ahead as per normal.

has been rectified by KA thank goodness. This will be a great race meet and
a super tune up for the state title which is being at Geelong on April 6 to 8.

the Karting Australia license and membership system. I have been advised
today by KA that all persons needing to renew their current memberships will
have to use the old club membership renewal systems for another couple of
weeks until they get those functions working on the new automated
membership system. So for now back to normal until we notify you guys that
the new system is working for all.

The three persons being Dennis Hogan , Ben Albanese and John Henman. All
were presented with GKC life membership pins which were proudly worn on the
night by present and past life members. The club will be running some extra
fun nights at the new clubrooms during the year as the facility is now suitable

If they dont sort it you can still contact Dominic as per normal
and he will update your club membership as per the old
process.

Important news re renewing Club Memberships
Very pleased to let all members know that GKC is now fully set up to renew
Club Memberships via CMS. Just click on the renew club membership tab in
CMS like you would your license and you can renew membership yourself at
any time. Your payment will be processed via securepay. Prices have not
gone up this year again but there is a 2% securepay surcharge. This is a
great new way of keeping your membership up to date at your fingertips.
If for some reason there are issues with the automated system dont
worry you can still call or text me and I can still manually process your
memberships! But please only use this option if there is an urgent need. We
will always help you guys out if you are in a tight spot. Just for information
membership renewals will go through automatically but new membership
applications will still require club sign off before they are processed. Good
luck for the new season and hope you all have a great year ahead in all your
endeavours:)

This Saturday the 11th November 2017 will be a Juniors
only track day.

reason no Seniors will be permitted on track on the

turn up and think you will get on track if you are a
senior.
Thanking you in advance.
02/09/2017
Next Clubday is the 24th September 2017!
Open Tag 125
The push to get Open Tag 125 Light and Heavy is on at Geelong. The class has run many of the clubdays this year and with some of our best restricted drivers making the move up the class is set to expand. This is a great class to run and appears to now be the premier catergory in karting. In 2018 we will be setting approximately six dates ( rounds ) for the championship in these classes. With some clubdays clashing with state and national title rounds this makes sense. So lets get Tag 125 going and make it a regular on the Geelong Karting Calendar.
30/06/2017
Please note that as per Geelong Kart Club policy there will be no July Clubday. This is our Mid Year Break and it gives everyone including officials a chance to do something else on what is traditionally our coldest / wet clubday of the year.
Its a great chance to go try out another track or just have a break. We will of course be back in August so we would like to see you guys all ready to rumble for August.
PRE ENTRIES
Please remember to pre enter of CMS for the remaining events of the year. Its saves you guys $5 per entry and helps the club officials organise the club event.

Securepay Now Operational on CMS for Geelong Kart Club
All members please take note that from today onwards all race meetings including clubdays, entries are to be entered via CMS system. As with all race meetings CMS closes for entries at midnight on the Wednesday before the race meet unless listed otherwise in the Supp Regs. After much work GKC now has the securepay system working and you will have to prepay your entry at the time you enter on CMS for the system to accept your entry. This is a great system and a far more professional way to accept entry payments. The Val Findlay Memorial is the first meeting where securepay will be required, so get used to it - its very easy to use and will save us all a lot of time. Please do not attempt to pay race entries with cheques as this will be declined! Geelong Kart Club have elected to not charge any extra fees to the karter for this system.
Front Gate Now Working Again
As some of you are aware our electric gate was vandalised just prior to the Australian Championship round late 2015. After a lot of organising a new motor and system has been installed. The cards you have will still work and the gate is once again closed - entry via swipe card. The gate has been set to open at a slower rate for reliability reasons, so be patient. As per normal you just drive up to the gate on your way out and it will open automatically for you.
Vandels Strike Race Tower
Once again some peanut has broken one of the glass windows of our race tower by throwing a rock through it. It has been repaired already. If anyone has any information about any incidents of damage please let a club official know. Be vigilant for your club , if you see anybody inside the complex acting suspiciously or who you believe isnt a member , ask them their reason for being at the track - if in doubt call Dominic or Dennis.
05/03/2016
March Clubday will not be held due to the easter holiday weekend. Too many officials and members are away and its only fair not to hold on this date.
